Will there be a Polar Shift prediction in 2012

Polar Shift 2012You may have already come across many articles about the various predictions of events that will occur in 2012. One of the most intriguing of all these predictions has to be the possible polar shift that might happen during 2012. Researchers and scientists from all over the world are anticipating and dreading the consequences of such the polar shift. Even the Mayan calendar warns us of an event that might have a huge impact on the whole world and scientists think that this polar shift may be the event that the Mayan’s are referring to. Polar shifts have taken place in the past. The last one is said to have occurred about a million years ago and scientists who have intensively studied it have said that it repeats every 750,000 years. If this is true, then it looks like earth is still overdue in experiencing another polar shift.

When a polar shift occurs, the magnetic poles i.e. the North Pole and the South Pole, flip over causing them to interchange their positions. Studies during the last couple of years have shown that the magnetic field has been decreasing since the past 2,000 years. Scientists believe that this decrease in the magnetic intensity is a sign that the polar shift might actually occur because it is a precursor of the predicted shift. This shift is not only a theoretical fact but is an actual scientific fact and the probability of it happening in 2012 is very high.

The impact that the polar shift will have on earth is varied. Some believe that there might be a complete failure of the electrical grid which would place us right back into the 19th century. Scientists predict more earthquakes and volcanic activity to occur after the shift. The magnetic field of earth will continue to decrease throughout the shift process which can expose humans to more radiation of the sun. More sun radiation will result in more cases of skin cancer and other such diseases. Increase in the radiation from the sun can also effect many life forms as the biological system are dependent on the sun’s radiation for its growth and overdoes of such radiation can cause mass killings in various organisms around the world.

Precautions for the polar shift have to be taken so that we do not fall prey to the various ill effects that might occur during the polar shift. Scientists have advised people to stay away from volcanic areas and from faulty line. Precaution is better than cure. Hence, being well equipped with canned goods and survival preps might just be a good idea in case there happens to be huge natural disasters occurring all over the world. The sun should be avoided completely and people need to understand that being self sufficient might pay off. The above are only a few of the predictions that researchers and scientists have made. The actual extent of destruction and damage that earth might face cannot be predicted.
